About Us
The Better Instant Website was designed and developed by Laura Wheeler, with the help of her adult son, David. Laura is the CEO and principal designer for Firelight Web Studio.
Laura is a real web designer, who makes her living developing websites for small businesses and first time website owners, and from writing instructional materials for small startups. She is an expert in effective free and low cost marketing methods (the ones that really work), and a strong opponent of scams and anything like them.
Firelight Web Studio (the web design division of Firelight Business Enterprises, Inc) is a member of the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce, and of the Total Integrity Business Group. Laura is also an active participant in Medicine Bow Business Development issues, and has long been active in efforts for encouraging business growth in her town.
She believes in the efforts of individuals to accomplish great things, by small and simple means. She knows that when you start a business, you may work day after day and not see any change, until you look back two months later and see how far you have come. She understands the frustrations of being financially poor, and the difficulties, and the possibilities, of building a business from almost nothing. These are things she has experienced personally.
Laura was blessed with skills that allowed her to build a business that makes a difference for her family, and she feels that it is important to use those skills to help others to realize the same dream. She chooses not to wear a business suit, and she chooses to drive an inexpensive car - because doing so keeps costs affordable for her clients. She could have "moved up" to a more lucrative client base, but chose to continue to serve micro-businesses and startups.
Laura is the mother of eight children, and wife of Kevin. Two of her children are grown and gone, and five are still at home, four of whom are homeschooled. The other child died in infancy, but they cannot bear not to count her. Life in their home is intense, but good.
Firelight Web Studio is operated from the Wheeler home, with great attention to personal service, and professional integrity.
